DANVILLE, Ky. - Looking to continue its climb in the Southern Athletic Association standings, Hendrix traveled to Danville, Ky. Saturday morning in search of a regular season sweep over the Centre Colonels and that's exactly what happened. The Warriors took the first set before dropping the second one and then went on to take the third and fourth ones to defeat Centre in four sets. In the win,
Lauren Dwyer became the fifth player in program history to reach the 1,000-kill mark after recording her 1,000th one in the third set Saturday versus the Colonels. Hendrix improves to 13-3 on the year with a 7-1 mark in SAA play while Centre drops to 5-12 and 2-7 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After nine ties in the opening set,
Mallory Carty's kill gave Hendrix the 15-14 lead; Warriors took the set 25-20.
- The Colonels took the second set, 25-23, after hitting .314 in the frame.
- Up 15-13 in the third, Hendrix recorded a 7-1 run to take a commanding 22-14 advantage.
- Leading 23-19 still in the third, a kill from
Kiersten Huitt and a service ace from Dwyer gave Hendrix the set.
- Trailing 14-10, Hendrix tied the fourth set, 18-18, after
Maddie Tovar helped force an attack error.
- Tied at 23, Tovar recorded back-to-back kills as Hendrix took the fourth set, 24-23, and defeated Centre in four sets to pick up its 13th win of the season.
- Dwyer finished with a game-high 18 kills in her historic game; second-most on the season for the senior. She also recorded her eighth double-double of the season.
- Tovar finished with a season-high 14 kills in the win over Centre while Carty added eight; Huitt and
Sadie Walker accounted four seven each.

Claire Smith registered a season-best 26 assists while
Sesalie Satterwhite added 24 which is also a season-high.

Jeanette McGrath finished with a team-high 22 digs while Dwyer added 17.
- Carty added three blocks versus the Colonels while
Allison Long and Huitt added two each.
- The 57 team assists is the second-highest in a game this year (season opener vs. Washington-St. Louis).
- The 7-1 start to the season in conference play is the best since the 2016 season (won SAA Championship).
- The Warriors are currently tied for second in the SAA standings (with BSC) and half a game back of Berry; Berry plays at BSC Saturday afternoon.

Hendrix remains on the road, traveling to Sewanee, Tenn. in search of the regular season sweep versus the Sewanee Tigers. The match is set to begin at 12 p.m.
