ATLANTA, Ga. - The Southern Athletic Association office announced that Lauren Dwyer earned the prestigious SAA Offensive Player of the Week honor after an incredible performance over the course of the weekend for Hendrix. Dwyer guided the Warriors to two huge conference wins over the weekend; at Centre and at Sewanee.

Dwyer, a senior product of Leawood, Kan., guided Hendrix to a huge four-set win from Danville, Ky. on Friday. Dwyer finished with a team-high 18 kills while also producing 17 digs and accounting for 22 points while guiding helping Hendrix pick up the regular season sweep against the Colonels. Dwyer also recorded her 1,000th career kill in the third set against the Colonels; becoming the fifth player in program history to do so.

Sunday, Dwyer recorded 11 more kills and accounted for 19 digs as Hendrix came-from-behind to defeat the Sewanee Tigers in five sets from Sewanee, Tenn.

Dwyer and the rest of the Warriors take on the defending NCAA champion, Emory, Friday at 4 p.m. CT from Atlanta, Ga.
