CONWAY, Ark. - Winners of three in a row, Hendrix returned back to Conway for the first time in four weeks to take on Rhodes in a classic Southern Athletic Association showdown from Young-Wise Memorial Stadium Saturday night. After scoring 34 points a week ago, the Warriors continued its tenacious offensive success; scoring 10 points in the opening quarter and 14 in the second period to take a 24-0 lead into the half. Hendrix outscored the Lynx 9-0 in the final 30 minutes of football as the Warriors won, 33-0, to pick up its first shutout since Nov. 12, 2015 and its first shutout against Rhodes since Nov. 20, 1926.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hendrix scored on its opening drive for the seconds straight game as Miles Thompson found Chad McGonigal from four yards out for McGonigal's first receiving touchdown of his career.
- Sandy Burks nailed a career-best 48-yard field goal with 32 seconds left in the opening period as the Warriors led 10-0 after one quarter.
- Thompson recorded the fourth rushing score of the year with 11:59 left in the first half; scoring from 20 yards out as the Warriors led 17-0.
- Thompson found Kip VanHoose from 20 yards out with 3:04 to go in the half as Hendrix led 24-0 at the break.
- Austin O'Brien recorded his third career touchdown and first of the 2019 season with 1:47 left in the third period before Burks nailed a 27-yard field goal with 10:55 left in the game as Hendrix defeated the Lynx, 33-0.

OFFENSIVE NOTABLES:
- Thompson finished an efficient 27-for-34 with 246 yards and three total touchdowns while also rushing for 37 yards.
- One week after being named SAA Offensive Player of the Week, VanHoose registered 71 yards on 17 carries while O'Brien finished with 30 yards on eight carries.
- Zan Thomas and Caleb Williams accounted for 31 yards on the ground in the huge win as well.
- Thompson surpassed the 200-yard passing mark for the second time this year; Hendrix 2-0 when the redshirt junior passes for at least 200 yards in a game.

DEFENSIVE NOTABLES:
- Tanner Hartsfield recorded a team-high seven tackles versus Rhodes Saturday.
- Anthony Johnson, Brooks Parham and Jared Bazley each accounted for six tackles in the 33-point win.
- Matthew Scirto, Carter Weakley, Canon Roeder and Adonnis Butler added five tackles each while Butler was responsible for two quarterback hurries.
- Jon-Patric Veal and Mason Adams also registered one quarterback hurry each.

SPECIAL TEAMS NOTABLES:
- Jaxon Sinclair recorded one punt for 47 yards while Charles-Antoine Gingras accounted for two punts for 82 combined yards.
- VanHoose also accounted for one kickoff return for 30 yards.
- Burks went 2-for-3 on field goal tries Saturday; succeeding from 48 and 27 yards and missing from 31 yards in the fourth quarter.
