CONWAY, Ark. - Winners of seven straight, Hendrix hosted no. 6 nationally ranked Berry Saturday afternoon inside Grove Gymnasium in a classic showdown of two of the top teams in the Southern Athletic Association. The Warriors fell to the Vikings in straight-sets (23-25, 15-25, 18-25). With the loss, the Warriors end its seven-game win streak and fall to 11-3 on the year with a 5-1 mark in conference play while Berry improves to 15-3 and 6-1 in SAA competition.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Berry won seven of the first nine points to grab the 7-2 early lead in the opening set.
- Back-to-back service aces from Lauren Dwyer gave Hendrix the 17-16 lead but the Vikings won three of the final four points to take the set, 25-23.
- In the second set, the Vikings hit .520; recording 15 kills and two errors while Hendrix hit .069 as the Vikings won the set, 25-15.
- Berry held the early 16-8 advantage in the third frame but a couple of kills from Sadie Walker brought Hendrix within seven, 17-10.
- The Vikings won the set, and match, by taking the third set 25-18.
- Claire Smith recorded a team-best 17 assists against the Vikings while Sesalie Satterwhite added eight.
- Walker recorded a team-high 11 kills while Maddie Tovar did as well.
- Dwyer finished with 12 digs and eight kills while Hendrix recorded nine blocks, as a team.
- Hendrix currently drops to the no. 2 spot in the SAA standings; half a game behind no. 1 Berry.
