Fourth Quarter Rally Leads to 64-52 Win for Women's Basketball

DALLAS, Texas - Trailing 42-39 through three quarters Tuesday night, Hendrix outscored Dallas Christian College 25-10 in the final period, included scoring the final 13 points of the game, to come-from-behind and defeat DCC 64-52 to pick up its second win on the young season. Caroline Wendt poured in a career-high 16 points after shooting 6-of-9 from the floor while Anissa Gutierrez tied her career-high and poured in 16 points as well. With the win, Hendrix improves to 2-1 on the year while DCC drops to 1-4.

OF NOTE
- After five lead changes in the first 10 minutes, DCC controlled a 15-11 lead after one period.
- Gutierrez scored six of her team-best 16 in the second period as Hendrix held the 27-22 advantage at the half.
- In just five minutes, Wendt scored six points, 2-of-3 from the floor, but the Warriors trailed 42-39 with 10 minutes to go.
- A four-point play from Gutierrez just 30 seconds into the final quarter and a quick steal and layup by Serena Pruitt put the Warriors up by three points with 9:23 to go.
- Hendrix trailed 52-51 with 3:17 to go in regulation but Kessie Jenkins scored six straight points to put the Orange and White up five, 57-52 with 1:44 to go. 
- Ali Isbell scored a layup before Gutierrez and Pruitt made a pair of free throws each as Hendrix scored the final 13 points of the game to record the 64-52 win in Dallas.

BOX SCORE NOTABLE
- Gutierrez also pulled down six of Hendrix' 13 rebounds.
- Rachel Woppman, Ali Isbell and Gutierrez combined for nine assists to just one turnover against the Crusaders.
- The Warriors shot 22-of-39 (56.4 percent) from the floor and 14-of-20 from the charity stripe (70 percent)
- The Warriors recorded 13 assists as a team Tuesday while DCC recorded just seven.
