Stanley's Eventual Game-Winning Layup Lifts Warriors to First Win Over Wildcats in Over 39 Years

JACKSON, Miss. - After pulling off the four-point victory Saturday against Mississippi University for Women, Hendrix remained in Jackson, Miss. to take on Louisiana College in the final game of the 2019 Millsaps Classic. Looking for its first win against the Wildcats in over 39 years, Hendrix faced adversity after trailing by 12, 45-33, at the break. Fortunately, the Warriors shot over 53 percent (14-for-26) from the field in the final half while limiting the Wildcats to shooting 28 percent (7-for-25) from the floor in the second half as the Warriors eased out the 67-66 win. Seth Stanley recorded the eventual game-winner; scoring a layup with 30 seconds left to put the Warriors up 67-66. Hendrix improves to 4-4 with the win while LC drops to 2-2.
