CONWAY, Ark. – Sophomore forward
Kessie Jenkins nearly carded the fourth double-double of the season after tallying 11 rebounds and eight boards but it was not enough as Hendrix (9-13, 2-9 SAA) only scored four points in the opening 10 minutes of action. Centre (12-10, 5-6 SAA) defeated the Warriors inside Grove Gymnasium, 50-38, Sunday afternoon in the next-to-last home contest for the Warriors on the 2018-19 season.

TURNING POINT
Centre outscored Hendrix 14-5 in the opening 10 minutes of action to take all the momentum in this contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Leading by nine after one quarter of play, Centre started the second quarter on an 8-4 run to hold a 22-8 lead with 4:24 left in the half.
- Two free throws by junior guard
Amber Turner brought Hendrix within 10 at the break as the Warriors shot just 13.6% from the floor and 12.5% from deep.
- Hendrix pulled within seven points a couple of times in the third period as the Warriors trailed by 10 through three quarters; Jenkins with seven of her team-high 11 in the third period alone.
- The Warriors got within eight points a couple of times but Centre scored six of the final seven points to obtain a 50-38 Southern Athletic Association victory in Conway.
OF NOTE
- After tallying the 11 points Sunday and being the lone Warrior to reach double figures, the sophomore now has reached at least 10 points for the ninth time this season; also has logged at least eight rebounds for the sixth time this season.
- Turner finished with nine points and five rebounds in 39 minutes of action; seven of her points coming at the free throw line.

- After making just three field goals in the opening half, Hendrix finished shooting 9-of-46 from the floor, 2-for-11 from deep and 18-for-34 at the charity stripe while Centre shot 19-for-49 from the floor, 5-for-15 from beyond-the-arc and 7-of-13 from the free throw line.
- Hendrix just tallied three assists off the nine field goal makes but did record only nine turnovers to Centre's 12.
WHO'S NEXT
With just one game left on its schedule, Hendrix hits the road for two SAA games. First up, the Warriors look to avoid the regular season sweep against the Millsaps Majors. Tip-off from Jackson, Miss. is set for 6 p.m.
