CONWAY, Ark. – As if a 15-4 start to the 2019 season wasn't good enough, Hendrix added a pair of victories to its overall mark as the Warriors defeated Grinnell 5-0 in seven innings and 8-0 in seven innings to sweep the Pioneers in the three-game weekend-long series from Conway. Sunday, Hendrix's two combined pitchers (
Andrei Stoyanow and
Evan Ingram) tossed a combined 11 innings on the mound while giving up just nine hits while not allowing any runs to the Pioneers and fanning 12 combined batters. With the two wins, Hendrix improves to 4-0 on the week and will wait until Tuesday morning to see if the program cracked the D3baseball.com / NCBWA Top 25 poll for the first time in program history; Hendrix was receiving 11 votes prior to the four non-conference wins this week.
