MARSHALL, Texas. – With a five-game winning streak on the line and after receiving its first-ever national ranking in the Collegiate Baseball Division III Poll earlier in the day, No. 24 Hendrix traveled to Marshall, Texas for a pivotal non-conference contest against East Texas Baptist University Tuesday night. The Tigers took the early 2-0 lead in the first and led most of the game until an RBI triple by
Seth Tucker in the sixth tied it and an RBI double by
Jorge Leon, a batter later, put Hendrix up 6-5 in the fifth. Unfortunately, ETBU scored the final seven runs of the game as the Tigers defeated Hendrix, 11-5.

NOTABLE:
- An RBI single by Burge in the second inning brought in Hendrix's first run before Tuckers' fielder's choice tied the game up at 2-all in the second.
- After being tied at 3-all, Tucker and Leon carded the RBI hits in the sixth as the Warrior's possessed its lone lead of the game at 6-5 in the sixth inning; falling 11-5 to the Tigers.
- Tucker logged his fifth appearance of the season; tossed six innings of action on just 61 total pitches; also struck out four Tiger batters.
- Hendrix recorded five hits on the day to ETBU's 12.
- Tucker and Jo. Leon tallied two RBIs a piece while also picking up a hit in the loss.
- Burge picked up the lone other RBI against ETBU; his second of the season in two games played.
- The six-run loss is the largest loss, deficit-wise, that the Warriors have suffered this year.
