MARSHALL, Texas. – After suffering its first loss Tuesday in its last six contest, Hendrix looked for another matchup against East Texas Baptist University on Wednesday. After taking a 1-0 lead, the Tigers scored a pair of runs in its half of the first and led the rest of the game as ETBU defeated Hendrix, 11-6, for the second time in as many days. Austin Pierce picked up the loss in his first start of the season while Jorge Leon picked up his 201st and 202nd career hits as a Warrior.

NOTABLE:
- Ju. Leon tallied a bloop single to right field to score Tucker from third to put Hendrix up 1-0 in the first.
- Three straight hits in the seventh inning brought the Warriors within four runs, 7-3.
- After a three-run seventh inning for ETBU, Hendrix carved up a run in the eighth and two in the ninth to fall 11-6 in the series finale.
- Stoyanow recorded a 3-for-4 mark at the plate Wednesday with a pair of RBIs and a run.
- Jo. Leon and Sherrington tallied two hits in the loss and combined for a pair of runs and one RBI.
- Ju. Leon and Gilliam also registered a hit against the Tigers.
- Pierce logged his first start on the season after throwing 47 pitches in three innings of work and striking out two.
- Kyle Wellman, Dylan Bowers, Taylor Barker, Hayden Seay and Evan Orren all saw action on the mound following Pierce's departure from the start.
- The two-game losing streak is the longest of the season.
