CONWAY, Ark. – Coming off a Saturday split with No. 21 Birmingham-Southern, No. 24 Hendrix looked for its third consecutive conference victory of its 2019 campaign with a rubber match against the Panthers Sunday. BSC enjoyed a three-run lead before a three-run fifth inning tied the game up. A timely hit by
Josh Walker in the eighth proved to be score the eventual go-ahead pair of runs as Hendrix held on to a 7-4 conference win over BSC. The Warriors improve to 19-7 overall with a 6-3 mark in Southern Athletic Association play while BSC drops to 18-7 overall and 5-4 in conference. Hendrix is currently second in the SAA regular season standings; one game back of Berry for first place.

NOTABLE:
- BSC took the lead off the first pitch of the game with a home run shot to right field, two more runs in the second and the Panthers enjoyed an early 3-0 lead.
- Hendrix carved up four consecutive hits in the fifth with one outs; scoring three runs in the inning to tie the game up at 3-all.
- Dehne led the bottom of the seventh off with a single and then reached third after a sacrifice bunt by Tucker and a ground out by Jo. Leon.
- Dehne became the fourth runner to reach home after Cooper singled to the second baseman as Hendrix took a 4-3 lead in the seventh.
- BSC recorded a single but after a gunned-down throw by Sherrington in right field, the junior threw home to get a BSC panther out but catcher's interference was called and the Panthers tied up the game at 4-all in the eighth.
- The Panthers walked two Warriors before Walker pinch hit for Elwell. Walker laced a ball down the left field foul line as Stoyanow and Ju. Leon scored for the 6-4 lead.
- McAuley pinch ran for Walker at second and scored later after an errant throw by the BSC catcher who picked up the error on the play as Orlando pitched a scoreless ninth with Hendrix picking up the 7-4 lead and Orlando picked up his first save of the year.
- Jo. Leon, Gilliam and Dehne carved up two-hit performances while Walker picked up two RBIs and three Warriors carded one apiece.
- Ingram picked up his third win of the year in his eight-inning outing and Orlando scooped up his first win of the year after throwing a . 14-pitch ninth inning for the big conference win.

The Warriors will put its two-game win streak on the line as Hendrix travels to Jackson, Miss. for a pivotal three-game set against Millsaps. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
