ABILENE, Texas. - After taking down Concordia (TX) by a pair of goals Friday in the season opener, the Warriors battled McMurry from Abilene, Texas Sunday to cap off the two-game road trip in Texas. After being scoreless at the break, the War Hawks struck for a pair of goals in the second half as the Warriors fell, 2-0, to McMurry. Hendrix falls to 1-1 on the season while McMurry improves to 1-0-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After recording just three shots in the first half, Hendrix carded three more in the second half en route to the two-goal loss.
- The Warriors recorded four shots on goal out of its six total shots while McMurry tallied 13.

Anna Claire Lewis tallied a pair of goals in nearly 56 minutes of action while freshman
Avery Jensen played the final 34 minutes in her collegiate debut.

WHAT WAS SAID
"Credit goes to McMurry, they outworked us and outplayed us," stated head man
Jeff Trimble. "I felt like we turned the hall over a lot today. Our passes and touches were loose and we really never got anything going. It's early and we are young but that's not an excuse for a lack of intensity and work rate. We will get back home rest a day and then get back to practice on Tuesday. We will be ready to play on Wednesday night."

Hendrix returns home to Conway for the first time this season for a mid-week home contest against non-conferene foe Ozarks (Ark.) Wednesday. Kickoff from Warrior Field is set for 7 p.m.
