CONWAY, Ark. - Trailing 2-0 in just over 10 minutes of action against the Central Baptist Mustangs, the Warriors seemed to play more relaxed in the final 80 minutes of Tuesday's contest as Hendrix landed five unanswered goals to avoid the upset against Hendrix' crosstown rival, 5-2.
Hagan Griffith accounted for a season-best four of the five Warrior goals while
Stella Krone landed her first collegiate goal in the 76th minute to ice the game. With the win, Hendrix improves to 2-2-1 on the season while CBC drops to 0-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 2-0, Griffith struck for her first goal of the night in the 13th minute, unassisted.
- In the 38th minute,
Hailey Dorsey found Griffith to tie the game up at two-all.
- The Arlington, Texas native struck for two more goals in the first five minutes of the second period to give Hendrix a two-goal cushion.
- Krone landed her first collegiate score in the 76th minute as Hendrix held on to win, 5-2, from Warrior Field.
- As a unit, the Warriors landed 30 shots (11 on goal) to the Mustangs' five (four on goal).
- Griffith accounted for 12 shots on the night with six of those being on goal; 12 shots in the second-most shots in a single game in her career.

Claire Huchingson accounted for three shots (one on goal) Tuesday night.

Anna Claire Lewis collected two saves on the night in 82:30 of action in goal for Hendix while
Avery Jensen played the final 7:30 of scoreless action.
- The four goals scored by the senior are the most goals scored by one player in Hendrix Women's Soccer history since
Lucy Moore (Oct. 3, 2015 versus Millsaps).
WHAT WAS SAID
"We got off to a slow start but I like the way the girls didn't panic and continue to work hard and play good soccer," stated Coach
Jeff Trimble. "The second half, we played with more energy and I liked our attack. I'm really proud of Griffith; it was a good night for her but the girls around her really put her in some good spots so I'm very happy with how we attacked."
UP NEXT
The Warriors will hit the road yet again. Hendrix travels to Fulton, Mo. Sept. 14 at 4 p.m. from a matchup against the Westminster (Mo.) Bluejays.
