Women's Soccer Records Fifth Tie of Season Following 1-1 Tie Versus BSC

CONWAY, Ark. - Sitting at 3-3-4 on the year with a program-high four ties, Hendrix hosted Birmingham-Southern Saturday afternoon from Warrior Field in the Southern Athletic Association opener. Hagan Griffith nailed a penalty kick past the seventh minute but a BSC score in the 84th minute tied the game at one. After a tie game after 90 minutes of regulation, the Warriors accounted for five shots while BSC accounted for four shots in the two 10-minute overtime sessions with no goals as the game resulted in a tie, 1-1. With the tie, Hendrix now holds a 3-3-5 mark with a 0-0-1 record in the SAA while BSC sits at 5-3-2 and 0-0-1 in conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Griffith's penalty kick in the seventh minute was the league-leading 11th goal of the year.
- Hendrix recorded four more shots before BSC accounted for the next nine shots as Hendrix enjoyed the 1-0 lead at halftime.
- The Panthers tied up the game in the 84th minute.
- Both teams were tied at 1 after 90 minutes; Warriors recorded four second half shots while BSC accounted for four as well.
- Hendrix recorded three shots in the first overtime period; all on goal while BSC recorded a pair of shots; also all on goal.
- Both teams recorded two shots in the second overtime session; two shots on goal for Hendrix, one for BSC Saturday afternoon.
- Griffith finished with four shots and three shots on goal while Sydney Wagner added three shots and a pair of shots on goal.
- Anna Claire Lewis played the opening 59:03 in goal for Hendrix; recording two saves of shutout soccer while Avery Jensen played the last 50:57 and accounted a team-high five saves.

WHAT WAS SAID
"I'm really proud of the girls today," stated head coach Jeff Trimble. "They played really hard and I think it was one of our best games. We will get some rest and get ready for next weekend."
