JACKSON, Miss. - After a 1-1 split against the University of Ozark Eagles Wednesday night in the Warriors' home opener, Hendrix hit the road for its third road contest of the year. Hendrix looked to improve to 2-1 on the road this year, but ultimately the Belhaven Blazers managed the 1-0 victory as the Blazers scored the only goal of the game in the 69th minute for the win. Hendrix falls to 1-2-1 while the Blazers improve to 3-1 this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Hagan Griffith and
Mary Helen VanHoy recorded shots in the first 22:11 as both teams remained scoreless at the break.
- The Blazers struck in the 69th minute to snag the 1-0 win at home.
- Griffith recorded four of Hendrix's seven shots Friday while VanHoy accounted for two.
- Wagner added one shot as well against the Blazers.

"I really liked how well our back line played tonight," head man
Jeff Trimble explained. "They were very organized and it was their best game as a group. We were a bit inconsistent with our effort and really broke down in our offensive third."
UP NEXT
Hendrix returns home for another in-state, non-conference contest from Conway. The Warriors battle the Central Baptist Mustangs Tuesday at 6 p.m. from Warrior Field.
