BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After knocking off then no. 14 Washington University-St. Louis last weekend in the first game of the season, the Warriors faced another top-25 nationally-ranked team Saturday from Bloomington, Ill. in no. 24, and host of the Illinois Wesleyan Holiday Inn Invitational, Illinois Wesleyan. The Warriors cruised past the Titans in straight sets (25-9, 25-17, 25-19) before falling to Otterbein in three sets (25-20, 25-19, 25-14) Saturday. Hendrix now holds a 4-2 record on the 2019 season.

Game 1 vs Illinois Wesleyan
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warriors won the first six points of the match and 11 of the first 13 to take the commanding 11-2 lead.
- A 3-0 run and a 4-0 run, capped off with a powerful kill from
Lauren Dwyer gave the Warriors a 23-8 edge in the first as Hendrix won
- A 5-0 run and a 3-0 run early in the second frame allowed for an 8-3 Hendrix lead as the Warriors took the second set, 25-17, after hitting .400 in the period.
- IWU held the early 4-3 advantage before a 3-0 Warrior run; capped off by a kill from
Mallory Carty.
- Leading by a point midway through the third period, a 4-0 Warrior run allowed for a 19-14 lead as the Warriors won the third, and final, set, 25-19.

Jeanette McGrath accounted for a team-high 19 digs with a pair of service aces.
- Carty looged a team-best 10 kills with an attack percentage of .400 while
Claire Smith and
MaKenzie Presley both hit .500 against the Titans.

Maddie Tovar carded three kills and hit a team-best .750 Saturday morning while the Warriors hit .353 as a team and carded 63 team digs and 42 team kills.
- The victory versus no. 24 Illinois Wesleyan is Hendrix's second Top-25 defeat in the last eight days.
Game 2 vs Otterbein
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warriors carded nine team kills with only three errors in the opening set as the Warriors lost the set, 25-20.
- In the second frame, Hendrix recorded a team-high 13 kills while hitting .344 as a team as the Cardinals took the set 25-19.
- Hendrix accounted for six kills and seven errors in the third and final frame as the Cardinals took the match in straight sets.
- Satterwhite recorded for nine assists and seven digs against the Cardinals.
- Carty and Dwyer tallied five kills each with both hitting .250 and .091, respectively.
- Presley and McGrath added 11 digs each in the loss.
UP NEXT
After playing its first six games on the road, the Warriors finally return to Conway for its home opener. Hendrix will host the Hendrix Invitational Saturday and Sunday. First, the Warriors will face Rhodes at 1 p.m. Saturday.
