Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame has announced nine new inductees to the hall who will be honored on April 16. Lawson Pilgrim, a Hendrix Alum is among those  honored. Lawson is a two-time All-American Athlete. Lawson Pilgrim, class of '81, came to Hendrix after playing one year at the University of Arkansas. As a three-year Warrior letterman, he led Hendrix to AIC championships in 1980 and 1981; he was All-AIC and All-District 17 NAIA both years. In 1980, he was on the 2nd team NAIA and, in 1981, was on the NAIA's first team, the only Hendrix basketball player ever to be named an All-American. After graduation, Pilgrim continued his interest in basketball, playing for Athletes in Action, and being recognized as one of the most outstanding amateur basketball players in the U.S.

Lawson Pilgrim, a father, author, peak performance coach, consultant, and a motivational speaker who firmly believes that greatness dwells in everyone. His mission is to help others realize their maximum potential through the power of having a positive attitude, deciding on a definitive goal, and pursuing that goal with pinpoint focus. This former two-time All-American Athlete learned the value of teamwork while traveling the globe playing basketball. Lawson's parents had always told him, success comes from hard work. After his basketball playing days ended, he worked extremely hard in Sales and Service as an insurance agent for a major insurance company. Establishing himself as one of the top sales producers in the country, he was recruited into management. While in management, Lawson realized his passion.... Inspiring people to give peak performance every day.
