MEMPHIS, Tenn. - After winning a share of the Southern Athletic Association regular season title last year, Hendrix traveled to Memphis, Tenn. to take on No. 12 Rhodes in a doubleheader in the SAA opener Saturday. After recording just three hits in the first game of the day, the Warriors dropped the first game, 9-1. In the final game of the day, Hendrix carved five hits in the ninth inning to take a 3-1 lead late but a three-run home run in the bottom half of the ninth with zero outs allowed Rhodes to record the 4-3 walk-off win in extra innings as Rhodes swept Hendrix on the day. With the two losses, Hendrix falls to 5-11 on the year and 0-2 in SAA games while the Lynx improve to 12-3 and 4-1 in SAA action.
