CONWAY, Ark. - This weekend the Warriors battled it out in Georgia with Oglethorpe and Berry, taking a win and a loss.

Friday night the Warriors faced Oglethorpe. The Stormy Petrels earned the first offensive opportunity with a corner kick in the 4th minute. However the Warriors quickly built up an offensive opportunity, earning a corner in the 6th minute, taken by Emily Seymour. Madison Lampkin took the initial shot that was blocked. However Brianna Willis was able to send it back in for teammate Kaitlyn Gilkey to finish, putting the Warriors up 1-0. The Warriors continued to earn opportunities in Oglethorpes final third with Sydnee Pritchett, Madison Lampkin, and Laramie Cox each taking a shot before the Stormy Petrels were able to get another opportunity in the 35th minute. The Orange and Black tallied two more shots from Ally Ross and Clara Sullivan just before the end of the first half. Coming out of half, both teams had opportunities, with the game becoming more physical and each team giving up many fouls. In the 72nd minute Laramie Cox took a shot that was blocked and a foul on Oglethrope resulted in a penalty kick for the Warriors. Unfortunately the opportunity was saved by the Stormy Petrels and the game remained 1-0 in favor of the Warriors. By the end of the half, both teams had committed at least eight fouls, five yellow cards had been awarded, and the Warriors had outshot Oglethorpe 7-5 and earned the win. Gilkey's second game-winning goal of the season has her in 5th in the SAA, behind teammate Camy McKenzie who is currently 2nd in the SAA and 55th nationally for her three game-winning goals.

On Sunday the Warriors traveled to Rome, Georgia to face the Berry Vikings. The Vikings got an early goal, scoring right after a corner kick in the 7th minute of the game. Following that goal, Madison Lampkin took a shot that was saved and then the Vikings picked up their attack, taking four more shots before getting their second goal which was quickly followed by their third. At the end of the first half Berry was up 3-0 over Hendrix. At the beginning of the second half, Mackenzie Sinclair took a quick shot and then the Vikings quickly picked up their attack. After a foul in the box, Berry earned a penalty kick and was able to add another goal. In the final 15 minutes, they managed to score three more and win the game 7-0. Elisabeth Caton Nelson was able to make 10 strong saves during the game, contributing to her 63 saves on the year.Â

The Orange and Black will be hosting the Rhodes Lynx this Saturday for the final regular season conference game of the year, with post-season conference tournament play just around the corner. The game will begin at approximately 5 pm CST. Seniors Brianna Willis, Zoey Montgomery, Emerson Lejong, Julia Dick, Kaitlyn Gilkey, Sydney Wagner, and Sydnee Pritchett will be honored prior to the game for their contributions over the past four years to the program as part of senior day.
