Conway, Ark.- The Warriors hosted Principia for their home opener tonight. The Warriors looked to bounce back from their opening defeat to Ozarks college. The Orange and Black came out strong by getting an early lead in the first quarter. At the end of the first the Warriors would lead the Panthers 22-18. The second quarter Panthers would gain the lead by holding the Warriors to just only nine points in the quarter. At the half the Panthers would lead the Warriors 36-31. In the second half it would be a tight contest from between both in the third quarter with the Panthers holding a close lead. In the 4th quarter the Orange and Black would put up a great comeback attempt but eventually fell to the Panthers with a final of 74-69.

In the game Madi Pierce collected a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Kennedi Burns posted 14 points and five assists. Blysse Harmon had six points and 10 rebounds in the contest also.

The Warriors will play again this Sunday against Southwestern at 1pm in Grove Gymnasium.Â
