Conway, Ark. - It has been a busy 48 hours for
Drew Gaeng's squad. A day after taking on Central Arkansas in an exhibition match, the Hendrix Warriors returned home to face the Dallas Crusaders. Hendrix was able to keep the Crusaders within touching distance for most of the contest, but the Crusaders would eventually prevail after shooting 44% from the field and 38% from 3-point range.
Freshman
Shelby Heil led the Warriors with 12 points and 8 rebounds off the bench.
Blysse Harmon and
Madi Pierce recorded nearly-identical stat lines, as the seniors each notched 11 points and 9 boards. Harmon got to the line four times, going 7-8 from the stripe, while Pierce was 2-4 from behind the arc.
Kennedi Burns,
Alicia McCloria, and
Simone Shields each added 7 points.
The Warriors will stay home to take on the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs on Tuesday, Nov. 29. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. CT.
