Warriors Return to Conway For Rematch with Ozarks

Conway, Ark. - The Hendrix men's and women's basketball teams return to Conway after last week's road trip for rematches with the Ozarks Eagles on December 30. The men's game will tip-off at 1:00 PM CT, with the women's game to follow.

MEN'S BASKETBALL vs. OZARKS

GAME STORYLINES

- Hendrix is 6-8 all-time versus the Eagles, but are 5-1 when playing at Grove Gymnasium and have won 3 of the last 4 matchups.

- Both teams enter Friday's contest looking to end their respective losing streaks. Ozarks has lost three straight after a 2-0 start to conference play, while Hendrix has dropped 10 in a row.

Nov. 13, 2022: L at Ozarks (76-56). Jonathan Ryan led the Warriors with 12 points. Colten Berry contributed 10 points and 5 rebounds.

BACK AT THE GROVE
Friday's game is the first of back-to-back home contests the Warriors will play to end the calendar year.

HEATING UP
Junior guard Colton McMullin seemed to have found the scoring touch during last week's road trip. The Hot Springs native hit double-figures twice, notching 12 points versus both East Texas Baptist and Dallas.

ON THE HORIZON
Saturday's contest versus UT-Dallas will mark the end of non-conference play. The Warriors will begin Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play on the road with games at Sewanee (Jan. 6) and Centre (Jan. 8).

GAME STORYLINES

- Hendrix is 5-6 all-time versus the Ozark Eagles since the two first met in 2012, and are 1-4 at Grove Gymnasium. Ozarks has won 5 of the last 6 meetings with the Warriors.

- The Warriors enter Friday's contest looking to get back to winning ways after having lost their last 4 games.

Maddie Pardeck and Shelby Heil were dominant on the glass last week versus the Crusaders, grabbing 12 and 10 respectively.

ON THE HORIZON
Friday's contest will be Warriors' last of the calendar year and their last non-conference game of the regular season. The start of SAA play will see them hit the road to take on I-40 rival Rhodes (Jan. 3).
