CONWAY, Ark. - 2021 saw the Hendrix Warriors reach the SAA tournament semifinals for the 9th consecutive season.
The Warriors graduated All-Conference players in
Sadie Walker and
Claire Smith, but see 2-time All-Conference playerÂ
Camryn Presley and
Grace House return to a talented roster looking to put their stamp on the 2022 season.
Presley earned All-SAA 2nd-team honors last season after being named an All-SAA 1st-team selection for her stellar inaugural campaign. She appeared in all 26 matches with 24 starts, averaging 2.52 kills and 3.53 digs per set to go along with 46 blocks. Her 39 service aces ranked 5th in the SAA.
House started all 26 matches and totaled 83 blocks, which ranked 5th in the SAA. She averaged 0.88 blocks per set (7th in SAA) to go along with 1.07 kills per set average.
In total, the Warriors return 5 players who appeared in all 26 matches last season: Presley, House,
Kyler Greenlee,
Loren Payne, and
Peyton Nance, all members of a talented junior class looking to lead the Warriors to their first NCAA postseason appearance since 2016.
Nance comes off a solid sophomore campaign that saw her register 306 digs, 28 service aces, and 33 assists. Greenlee led all returners with 349 assists to go along with 21 service aces and 112 digs. Payne was responsible for 148 kills and 24 blocks.

Sam Friedl totaled 354 digs last season, averaging 4.43 per set which ranked 6th in the SAA.Â
The Warriors will travel to Belton, Texas for the Mary Hardin-Baylor tournament to begin the 2022 regular season. They were picked 3rd in the 2022 SAA presason coaches poll, earning 46 pts.
