CONWAY, Ark. - Wednesday night the Warriors shut out the Blazers at Warrior Soccer Field, scoring four goals.

The Warriors came out with a strong offensive start, taking two early shots. The game then settled in more, with the Warriors having more scoring opportunities than the Blazers. In the final ten minutes of the half, Belhaven made six substitutions, bringing on fresh legs to boost their intensity. It resulted in four corner kicks in a row for the Blazers, however, they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities and the game was tied going into half.
In the beginning of the second half, both teams earned a quick corner and then Belhaven picked up their intensity taking a series of shots. However, in the 63rd minute Omar Pelayo took a driven shot about 25 yards out following a shot deflection from Austin Pettigrew. The energy continued to pick up and in the 71st minute, Austin Pettigrew put another one in off of a corner kick from Holt Bliss. Two minutes later, the Blazers fouled the Warriors in the box, giving Jack Nolen the opportunity to score the third goal of the night from a penalty kick. Four minutes later, the Orange and Black earned another corner opportunity that was cleared out. However, the Warriors won it back and a pass from Holt Bliss to Alex Ochoa resulted in the fourth and final goal of the game.
James Leone recorded his third shutout of the year, ranking him 37th nationally and third in conference for total shutouts. He also made six saves on the evening to rank 69th nationally and fourth in conference for a save percentage of 82.4% and increased his saves per game average to 4.0 ranking him third in conference. The assist from Holt Bliss moved him to 138th nationally and fourth in conference for total assists and 112th nationally and fourth in conference for assists per game. Omar Pelayo got his second game-winning goal of the year, ranking him 42nd nationally and second in conference.

The Warriors are headed to Mississippi tomorrow to face the Millsaps Majors at 10 am CST as they hope to extend their win streak and clench another conference win.
