Danville, Ky. - After trailing 39-32 at the half, the Hendrix Warriors exploded in the second half, outscoring the Centre Colonels 44-29 en route to a 76-68 win on Sunday afternoon.
Both teams shot 40.0% from the field over the first 20 minutes of play, with Centre good on 7 of 19 three-point attempts.
Noah Ring's layup at the 13:44 mark in the second half gave Centre a 10-point lead. After that, the Warriors took over. Hendrix nailed 6 three-pointers in a seven minutes to jump out to a 69-61 lead with 4:03 to go.
Centre fought back to trim the lead to four until Colten McMullin dropped 6 points in the final 1:30 to help see off the Colonels and notch the Warriors' first conference win of the season.
Caleb Squires finished with a career-high 17 points.
Daniel Cobb would match that effort, tying the career-high he set against Ozarks 9 days prior. The Little Rock native was 5-6 from 3PT.
Tyler Deithloff and
Colton McMullin hit double-figures for the second consecutive game with 15 points a piece.
Hendrix out-rebounded the Colonels 44-39, but the overwhelming storyline from Sunday will be the Warriors' offensive performance.

Hendrix returns home for a pair of Southern Athletic Association matchups, beginning with the Millsaps Majors on Friday, January 13. Tip-off is set for 8:00 PM CT at Grove Gymnasium.
