Conway, Ark. - Hendrix entered Friday night's match with Berry sitting sixth in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) table, knowing that a win could take them as high as third in the table.

And Matt Kern's side delivered.

Parker Briggs was in the right place at the right time, as Danny Kern's squared ball across the six yard box found Briggs right in front of goal for an easy finish with just under three minutes played in the first half.

Hendrix managed to control the remaining 87 minutes and hold on for a vital 1-0 win.

It was a stalemate for much of the match, with neither team generating many scoring opportunities. James Leone was only called upon four times, but produced a phenomenal save off a Berry free kick with four minutes remaining to clinch the points.

The Warriors now sit third in the SAA with 7 points with just one conference match remaining as they look to clinch the right to host a first-round playoff match in Conway.

Hendrix will be back in action tomorrow as they host Oglethorpe for a Sunday morning matinee. Kick-off is set for 11:00 AM at Warrior Soccer Field.
