Conway, Ark. - Hendrix celebrated its three seniors on Sunday afternoon with a win over Oglethorpe to clinch a sweep of this weekend's conference matches.
The win on Sunday was the twelfth of the year for
Jeff Trimble's Warriors, which sets a new school record for wins in a single season. It was a fantastic achievement accomplished with the help of Hendrix's three seniors -- Caton Nelson,
Mackenzie Sinclair, and
Avery Taylor.
Sierra Dobson's lone first half goal was enough to secure the three points. The freshman was on the mark with a pinpoint, first-time finish off a cutback from
Madison Lampkin. It was the fifth goal of the season for Dobson.
Caton Nelson celebrated senior day by only having to make one save all afternoon for yet another clean sheet.
Hendrix improves to 12-5 (4-2 SAA), and are currently tied for third in the SAA standings with one conference match remaining. That tie will be resolved next Saturday as the Warriors head to Memphis to take on Rhodes, who are also 4-2 in the SAA.
