Conway, Ark. - Hendrix celebrated Senior Day at Grove Gymnasium on Sunday versus Centre with a chance to clinch the #3 seed in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) on the line.
However, a slow start by the Warriors proved to be too much to overcome. Centre stormed out to a two-set lead and never looked back, clinching the match in straight sets.
The loss cements Hendrix's standing as the #4 seed in the SAA tournament, which will be held in Mount Berry, Ga. in two weeks time.
Seniors
Camryn Presley and
Loren Payne led the Warriors with 6 points each in their final match at Grove Gymnasium.
Kyler Greenlee recorded 16 assists.
Hendrix 11-12 (7-7 SAA) now heads to Decatur, Ill. for a pair of nonconference matchups versus DePauw and Washington University in St. Louis, before heading to Mount Berry to take on Birmingham-Southern in the first round of the SAA tournament. The Warriors split this year's contests with the Panthers, their last match resulting in a Hendrix win in straight sets in Conway.
