Decatur, Ill. - Hendrix split Saturday's matches in Illinois on Saturday versus DePauw and Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) to close out the 2023 regular season in preparation of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) tournament next weekend.
The Warriors defeated the Tigers in straight sets to kick off Saturday's doubleheader.
Loren Payne led all participants with 12 kills, while
Lily Meyer recorded a career-high 13 assists.
Hendrix dropped the second half of the doubleheader versus WashU in four sets.
Camryn Presley led the Warriors with 11 kills.
Catalina Williams backed that up with a season-high 10 kills and 2 service aces.
Hendrix now turns its eyes towards postseason play and will enter the SAA tournament as the fourth overall seed. They will take on the Birmingham-Southern Panthers on Friday in the first round. The match is slated to begin at approximately 6:00 PM at the Cage Center in Mount Berry, Ga.
