Conway, Ark. - The Hendrix Warriors fell to the Austin 'Roos 69-64 at Grove Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon.
The contest was a rematch from the two's meeting six days ago in Sherman, Texas.
Hendrix went on a 7-0 run to start the game, but struggled to maintain that form as Austin outscored them 18-6 in the following stretch to take a 18-13 lead.
Braden Weaver knocked down a long ball with 3:19 to go in the half to make it a 25-22 ball game, but Austin would recover to head into the break with a 31-25 lead.
Hendrix was slow out of the gate to begin the second half, and would trail by as many as 16 with 9:38 to play. The Warriors would cut the lead to 5 with 00:08 to go after
Caleb Squires converted his second-consecutive 3 on as many shots, but it would be too little to late converted their free throws to seal the win.
Colten Berry led Hendrix with 14 points and 8 rebounds.
Tyler Deithloff was right behind him with 12 points and 9 boards.
Jonathan Ryan also hit double-figures with a 10-6 performance.
The loss drops the Warriors to 1-4, and they will now hit the road to take on in-state foe Lyon College on Thursday, November 30. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM in Batesville.
