Conway, Ark. - Hendrix's Men's and Women's swim programs returned to Bob Courtway Pool for the Sprint Invite with Ozarks on Thursday night, with both programs showcasing some excellent swims to cap the calendar year.
The men's team defeated Ozarks 85-50, with the women winning 95-70.
The Water Warriors saw first-place finishes in all but two events, as both programs excelled in their individual and relay events.
Zane Shaner highlighted the night by etching his name into the record books. The junior from West Des Moines, Iowa entered Thursday night's meet with his sight set on the school record in the 50-Yard Butterfly, and strode to a 22.86 finish to set a new record, which Paxton Higgerson previously held after finishing in 23.15 back in 2022.
The Water Warriors will now have some time off to enjoy the holiday season, and will return to the water on January 13 when they host Williams Baptist for the programs' annual Senior Meet.
