Clarksville, Ark. - The Hendrix Warriors fell 81-60 to the Ozarks Eagles on Saturday afternoon at Mabee gymnasium.
Saturday's contest was a rematch of the season opener back on Nov. 8, which Ozarks also won.
Hendrix went into the halftime break trailing 39-37 after a thrilling first half after shooting 57% from the field in the first quarter and 41% in the second.
The Warriors were able to keep the Eagles within arms-reach in the third quarter, until the wheels fell off in the final period of play. Hendrix was unable to connect on any of its 3PT attempts in the final ten minutes while only mustering four field goals.
Ava Knoedl recorded a career-high 22 points. The sophomore was 8-of-16 from the field and 5-of-9 from behind the arc.
Riley Brady continued her dominance on the glass on her way to a second double-double in three games. Her 19 rebounds is tied for 8th in program history for a single-game performance, and marks her third-consecutive game with 11+ rebounds.
Shelby Heil finished the afternoon with 9 points and 8 boards.
The loss drops the Warriors to 2-9 on the year, and they will return home to open up conference play in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) versus Rhodes on Jan. 2. Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM at Grove Gymnasium.
