Birmingham, Ala. - Hendrix opened up conference play in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) versus Birmingham-Southern (BSC) at Preston Goldfarb Field at Berylson Soccer Park on Saturday.

The Warriors got off to a great start with Landon Whisenant netting the opening goal in the 19' for his first of the season.

However, two second-goals from the Panthers was enough to deny Hendrix a share of the points, even with a man-advantage for the last ten minutes after Vittorio Vopicelli saw red for BSC.

The Warriors managed 5 shots on the day, with 2 of those on frame. James Leone was called into action twice in the second half as his side searched for an equalizer.

The loss drops Hendrix to 2-4-1 (0-1 SAA) on the season. The Warriors will seek their first conference win  as they return home to host Millsaps this Friday at Warrior Soccer Field.
