Danville, Ky. - The Hendrix Warriors lost 75-56 to Centre on Friday night at Alumni Gym. The loss marks the Warriors' sixth consecutive loss to start play in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA).
After trading points in the opening few minutes, the home side began to heat up from deep and build a considerable lead, leading by as many as 13 late in the half.
Hendrix got up plenty of shots to start the second half, but struggled to convert on their attempts. The Warriors struggled to establish a foothold in the contest and just could not find any momentum down the stretch.
Darvis Rasberry led Hendrix with 12 points, one shy of the season-high he set against Berry two weeks ago.
Daniel Cobb and
Caleb Squires both finished the evening with 8 points after knocking down two three-pointers a piece.
The loss drops the Warriors to 3-14 (0-6 SAA), and they will now head to Sewanee, Tenn. to take on the Tigers. Tip-off is set for 3:00 PM at Juhan Gymnasium.
