Conway, Ark. - Hendrix opened the 2024-25 regular season with a 69-48 win over Centenary to hand head coach Wes Sullivan a victory in his first game in charge.
Four Warriors finished in double-figures with
Bella Cates leading the way. The junior went 4-of-7 from behind the arc on her way to a game-high 17 points.
Ava Knoedl shot only 1-of-5 from distance but was good on 7-of-8 attempts from the stripe to score 16 points.
Brailey Forst scored a career-high 14 points with 11 rebounds to open up her sophomore campaign with her first career double-double. Forst was 3-of-4 from the field and 8-of-9 on free throws.
Natalie Edmonson scored 10 points after shooting 4-of-10 from the field.
The Warriors led 30-25 at the half before an explosive third-quarter that saw Wes Sullivan's squad outscore Centenary 23-12 to lead 53-37 headed into the final quarter of play.
Hendrix shot 35.2% from the field and 36.8% from 3PT. The Warriors outrebounded the Ladies 54-39 and got 30 points from the bench.
Hendrix (1-0) will be back in action on Tuesday as they host Lyon for a 6:00 PM tip at Grove Gymnasium.
