Eagles' Hot-Shooting Too Much for Hendrix

Conway, Ark. - Hendrix lost to in-state foe Ozarks 78-62 on Sunday afternoon at Grove Gymnasium.

The away side shot an astonishing 53.8% (14-of-26) from behind the arc to go along with 49.2% from the field and seemed to always have the right answer whenever the Warriors threatened to mount a comeback.

Natalie Edmonson led Hendrix with 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting from 3PT. All four of her successful three-point attempts came during the third quarter as Hendrix sought to keep their comeback bid alive. The Warriors were able to cut Ozarks' lead to five on several occasions in the second half but ultimately faltered in the fourth quarter as the Eagles kept their foot on the gas.

Riley Brady tallied 11 points off the bench in her 2024-25 debut after returning from a volleyball campaign in which she was named Southern Athletic Association (SAA) First Team All-Conference. The reigning SAA Newcomer of the Year was 5-of-6 from the field and also recorded a rebound and a steal.

Ava Knoedl knocked down 3-of-5 3PT attempts to finish with 9 points.

Hendrix shot an impressive 47.1% from distance and finished 40.9% from the field.

The Warriors (3-3) now hit the road for the away leg of their home-and-home with the Centenary Ladies. Tip-off at the Gold Dome is set for 5:30 PM on Tuesday evening in Shreveport.
