Clarksville, Ark. - Hendrix opened the 2024-25 regular season with a 75-50 defeat to Ozarks on Friday night at Mabee Gymnasium.
Tyler Deithloff led the Warriors with 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field and knocking down a couple three-pointers.
Beau Kronenberger finished in double-figures with 10 points.
The Warriors scored the game's first four points but quickly found themselves behind the eight ball as Ozarks scored 13 unanswered as part of a 20-2 run to take a 20-6 lead. Hendrix trailed by as many as 27 in the opening 20 minutes, and would trail 46-20 at the half.
Hendrix outscored the Eagles in the second half, which served as the lone bright spot in their season opener. The Warriors gave up 20 points off turnovers and surrendered 34 points in the paint.
Hendrix returns home to host the University of Dallas on Sunday afternoon for their 2024-25 home opener at Grove Gymnasium.
