Warriors Fall to Rhodes and Centre at SAA Non-Con Classic

Memphis, Tenn. - Hendrix took part in the SAA Non-Con Classic at Rhodes over the weekend, dropping a pair of games against the hosts Lynx and Centre.

12/6 vs Rhodes (L, 87-65)
Hendrix traded points with Rhodes in the opening ten minutes before the Lynx created some separation between the two sides headed down the stretch in the first half to take a 10-point lead into the half.

The Warriors found themselves down by 24 with just under ten minutes to play and were never truly able to find their footing in the second half as the hosts kept their foot on the pedal to win by 22.

Tyler Deithloff led Hendrix with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Carson Bower and Sky Tschurr each recorded 8 points.

12/7 vs Centre (L, 91-60)
Hendrix hung tough in the opening 15 minutes as they kept the pace with Centre to only trail by 5 with 5:57 to play in the first half after Tschurr nailed his first of two triples on the night, and Carson Bower's jumper at 4:43 pulled the Colonels back within five again late. However, Centre dominated in the final minutes of the half, outscoring the Warriors 13-4 to take a commanding 48-34 lead into the half.

Centre continued their dominance in the second half, racing out to a 24-point lead midway through the half and coasting to a 91-60 win.

Deithloff once again led the Warriors in points, finishing with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Bower notched 9 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field.

Up Next: Hendrix returns home for a three-game homestand beginning on December 18 as the Warriors host Huntingdon at Grove Gymnasium.
