Women's Lacrosse Earns Four All-SAA Selections

Atlanta, Ga. - On Friday, the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) announced its 2024 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Awards, with four Hendrix Warriors earning All-SAA honors... and making a little bit of history in the process.

Peyton Refling and Addey Bolz earned All-SAA First Team selections, with the latter also being named SAA Newcomer of the Year in her inaugural campaign in goal for the Warriors, while Alaina Palmer and Eliza Thacker were named All-SAA Honorable Mention.

This marks the first time that the Warriors have placed four players on the All-SAA teams since 2021, and the first time that Hendrix has had a All-SAA First Team selection since the 2019 season. It is the most First Team selections in a single season in program history, while Bolz's Newcomer of the Year selection is also the first-ever major award won in program history.

Refling netted 51 goals on the year and led the SAA in Goals Per Game (4.64) while finishing second in Points Per Game with 5.45. Her 51 goals ranks tied for second in program history for goals in a single season. She scored a career-high 9 goals in the Warriors' regular season finale versus Sewanee.

Bolz led the SAA in Saves Per Game (11.09) and finished second in the conference for Save Percentage for all eligible participants. As a team, the Warriors led the conference in Saves Per Game and Save Percentage. Her 122 saves ranks fourth in program history for saves in a single season, and her 46.2% Save Percentage ranks second in program history. On March 16, Bolz recorded 21 saves versus Centre, which ranks third all-time in saves in a single game.

Palmer earns All-SAA honors for the first time after a sophomore season that saw her tally 26 points on 15 goals and 11 assists. She also recorded 15 caused turnovers, 38 ground balls, and won 28 draw controls.

Thacker finished third on the team in scoring with 11 goals to cap a stellar start to her collegiate career. The freshman recorded 4 draw controls, 7 caused turnovers, and 19 ground balls to boot.
