Presley Named SAA NCAA WOTY Nominee

Canton, Ga. (July 22, 2024) - On Monday, the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) put forward three standout student-athletes to represent the conference as its nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year, with Hendrix's Camryn Presley earning a spot as one of the three finalists after a decorated four-year volleyball career. The conference office will select the SAA's representative for the award, which will be voted on by a national committee later in the semester.

The NCAA Woman of the Year Award honors graduating student-athletes who have distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service, and leadership. Presley was honored on All-SAA three-times, highlighted by two first team nods and the 2020 SAA Newcomer of the Year award. This past season, she was on the All-SAA second team and SAA All-Tournament team. Outside of competition, she was a standout student, landing on the SAA All-Academic Honor Roll all four years of her career. She graduated with degrees in biochemistry and molecular biology and psychology. She was a regular volunteer at many local nonprofits and spent considerable time with UAMS on 12^th Street, a student-run, community-based clinic sponsored by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences that provides free health screenings and health services management for people in the community.
