Conway, Ark. - For 20 minutes on Friday evening, Hendrix was in dreamland. But that dream would be short-lived.
The Warriors found themselves up 2-0 over St. Thomas after just 10 minutes with a brace from
Jensen Pechar. The Celts would answer in the 20th minute, but Hendrix was able to maintain their lead heading into halftime.
St. Thomas drew level 2 minutes into the second half, and found the go-ahead goal just 30 seconds later. They would add on to their lead in the 87th minute to seal the win.
Despite the four goals allowed,
James Leone stood on his head in goal, producing 11 saves across the 45 minutes and denying the Celts with a couple fine one-on-one saves and a double-save.
Offensively, the Warriors registered 9 shots with 5 on goal.
Hendrix remains home to host the University of Dallas on Sunday at Warrior Soccer Field.
