Longview, Texas - After starting the year 2-0, Hendrix went winless in its next four matches, but got back on track on Thursday night with a 2-1 win over LeTourneau.
Jeff Trimble's side started fast as
Allie Farrar netted her first goal of the 2024 season off a
Sarah Jones' assist.
Madison Lampkin doubled Hendrix's lead just over halfway through the first half. The Warriors recorded 9 shots in the first half with 6 of those on goal, including the two goals.
The Warriors surrendered a goal on 68 minutes to see their lead halved, but were able to see out the rest of the match to secure the win over the Yellow Jackets.
Kennedy Lewis made 8 saves in goal over the 90 minutes to maintain Hendrix's lead.
Hendrix (3-1-3) returns to Conway to host the University of the Ozarks next Friday at Warrior Soccer Field.
