CONWAY - Hendrix suffered one of its worst losses of the season on Sunday afternoon as they fell 94-66 to the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels at Grove Gynnasium.

Both teams shot over 40% from behind the arc, but the Stormy Petrels could not seem to miss as they shot a remarkable 56.1% from the field. They took an 8-0 lead early before a Sky Tschurr triple stopped the bleeding. Colten Berry's layup at the 14:27 mark cut the deficit to 5, but 8 unanswered points from the visitors kicked off a 14-3 scoring run that put the Warriors down 26-10 midway through the first half.

It would only go further downhill from there as the Stormy Petrels took a 47-28 lead into halftime. Oglethorpe would take their largest lead of the afternoon midway through the second half when one of their twelve threes dropped to make it 75-45.

Hendrix was able to keep the game close at first thanks to the hot-shooting of Beau Kronenberger, who finished with 20 points on a career-best 6-of-11 shooting from behind the arc. Tyler Deithloff and Sky Tschurr ended the game in double-figures as well with 13 and 10, respectively.

Oglethorpe only out-rebounded the Warriors by 3, but got a huge boost from its 38 bench points, which doubled Hendrix's points off the bench. Despite the relative stalemate on the glass, the Stormy Petrels inside with 50 points in the paint to Hendrix's 20.

The Warriors are still seeking their first SAA win of the season and will now hit the road for Georgia as the conference calendar flips over into the second half. They will take on Berry and Oglethorpe next weekend, with Hendrix's tip-off against Berry coming at 7:00 PM CT from the Cage Center.
