Conway, Ark. - Hendrix continued its stellar form in league play on Friday evening with a 3-1 win over LeTourneau.
The Warriors clinched a season double over the YellowJackets in emphatic form, responding to a second-set loss by taking the final two sets.
Ana Bastos led all participants with 11 kills.
Mariana Leite joined Bastos in double-figures with 10 kills.
Riley Brady was one kill shy of a double-double with 15 digs.
Hendrix breezed to a 25-12 opening-set victory with the help of four service aces. LeTourneau answered with a 25-17 win in the second set to even the match at one set apiece before Hendrix took over to seal the match.
The Warriors opened the final set on a 7-2 run and eventually led by eight with the score at 12-4. LeTourneau battled back to make it 18-14, but Hendrix was eventually able to pull away with an explosive four-point swing to lead by eight and coast to a four-set win.
Hendrix hit .221 as a team and limited LeTourneau to just a .07 hitting percentage.
Hailey Gripka was dominant defensively, as the junior got in on six blocks across the four sets. Brady led the Warriors with 15 digs, with
Lily Meyer backing that up with 10 kills.
Adilynn Henry assisted on 22 points.
Hendrix improves to 14-3 and 8-1 in SCAC. The Warriors currently lead Austin College by two matches in the Blue Division.
