Houston, Texas - Hendrix opened up its first crossover event of the SCAC season with a Saturday split versus McMurry and the hosts, St. Thomas.

McMurry (W, 3-0)
Hendrix breezed to a three-set victory over the WarHawks to open their Crossover account. The Warriors only allowed McMurry to hit 20 points in one of the three sets.

Riley Brady led all participants with 10 kills and 11.5 points. Ana Bastos finished with 8 kills, while Alexis Mahan and Mariana Leite both tallied 7 kills each.

Perri Evans was a force at the net defensively, assisting on five of the Warriors' sixteen blocks. Enaiaya Thompson was in on four of the blocks, and Brady and Leite each had three. Faith Jones led all participants with 17 digs.

St. Thomas (L, 3-1)
The Warriors suffered their first loss in league play in a four-set match to St. Thomas. The Celts blitzed Hendrix early with a 25-11 opening-set victory, and rebounded after dropping the second set to take the third and fourth sets to clinch the match.

Brady once again led the Warriors offensively, this time with 13 kills. Bastos also finished in double-figures with 10 kills.

Hendrix bested St. Thomas at the net defensively with 18 blocks to the Celts' 12. Hailey Gripka matched Perri Evans' total from the first match with five blocks, while Bastos, Brady, and Evans each recorded four blocks.
