Memphis, Tenn. - Hendrix's men's track & field program competed at the Rhodes Invitational over the weekend and received several notable performances.
On the track,
Westin Bruce set a new personal record in the Men's 200 meter dash with a time of 22.45. Bruce finished sixth in the Men's 100 meter dash (11.13m), beating out his teammate
Ryan Maxwell by 0.62.
Owen Lien finished sixteenth in the Men's 1 mile run (4:35.57).
Pranit Koppolu and
William Humiston also competed in the event.
Tristian Johnson recorded three top ten finishes in the throwing events. He finished fifth in the Men's Shot Put (12.68m, eighth in the Men's Discus Throw (35.30 m), and placed ninth in the Men's Hammer Throw with a toss of 36.21m.
Jagger Gordon made his debut in the Men's Long Jump (5.30m).
