Conway, Ark. - Hendrix was bested 12-7 by Ozarks on Tuesday evening at Warrior Baseball Field.
The Eagles outhit Hendrix 19-10 on the night and benefited from four home runs.
Hendrix scored the opening run in the second inning as
Jacob Carpentier tripled in
Joseph Watts.
Nick Echaniz added onto the lead with the next at-bat with an infield single to score Carpentier. The Eagles tied the game with a couple of runs in the third and fourth inning before Carpentier tallied his second run batted in with an RBI groundout to score
Austin Rabago.
Ozarks hit back-to-back home runs in the fifth to take a 6-3 lead, but Rabago answered with a home run of his own in the bottom half of the inning on a three-run shot to tie the game.
Drake Job singled in Carpentier in the sixth inning to retake the lead for the home side. Ozarks tied the game on a solo shot in the seventh and then hit Hendrix with a three-spot in the eighth before adding one more in the ninth.
Owen Shaw, Job, Watts, and Carpentier each had two hits, while Rabago led the Warriors with three RBIs on his home run.
Nathan Buchman recorded a season-high four strikeouts in 1.1 innings of relief work.
