Conway, Ark. - Hendrix opened up its home account on Sunday afternoon with a 3-0 win over the Mississippi University for Women at Warrior Soccer Field.
Madi Lampkin opened the scoring five minutes into the match beating MUW's goalkeeper from close range after
Laramie Cox's chipped ball over the top. Lampkin returned the favor midway through the second half as Cox redirected her pass into the far corner to put Hendrix at the double.
Vivian Day scored her first career goal just three minutes later with a one-timed effort after a flick on from
Chloe Grimm.
MUW never threatened the Warriors goal on the day, registering no shots on goal as
Kennedy Lewis and
B Adams combined for a clean sheet.
Hendrix (1-1) will remain in Conway to face the Central Baptist Mustangs on Thursday at 7:00 PM.
