St. Louis, Mo. - Hendrix split their matches with Greenville and Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) on Saturday afternoon at the WashU Field House.
Greenville (W, 3-1)
Camryn Kennedy led a well-rounded Warrior attack to lead Hendrix over Greenville in their Saturday opener. The junior tallied 14 kills on 27 swings (0.370) to lead all participants.
Ana Bastos and
Hailey Gripka also finished in double-figures.
The Warriors responded to an opening-set loss to take the next three sets and win the match in four. Hendrix hit 0.227 as a team and won seven points from the service line.
Adilynn Henry assisted on 27 points, while
Chloe Staggs led the Warriors with 9 digs.
WashU (L, 3-0)
Hendrix suffered its first loss of the season at the hands of the hosts in their second match of the day in a straight-set defeat. WashU entered the weekend ranked just outside the top 10 nationally.
Bastos led the Warriors offensively with 9 kills. Defensively,
Mary Addisyn Stubbs led Hendrix with 11 digs with Bastos, Gripka, and
Riley Brady each totaling 2 blocks at the net.
