SHERMAN, Texas - Hendrix remained unbeaten in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference after a goalless 0-0 draw with Austin College on Sunday afternoon at the Pierce Complex.
The Warriors got off 15 shots on the afternoon, with 5 of them goal-bound, while the hosts registered 31 shots in total.
Kennedy Lewis earned her first shutout in conference play this season after being called into action 11 times in her 90 minutes in goal, a new season-high for the senior.
Offensively, five Hendrix players tallied a shot-on-goal, including
Chloe Peters, who finished with four shots total and saw one of her efforts clang off the crossbar late in the first half.
Lewis and the Warriors' back-line thwarted an early second-half offensive surge from the 'Roos, as 9 of Lewis' saves came in the second period. In the end, neither side was able to find a winner.
The draw leaves Hendrix at 1-5-4 (0-0-3 SCAC) on the year. They have tied their first three matches of the league campaign, and they will look for their first win in the SCAC on Friday as they head up to Clarksville for an in-state battle versus the University of the Ozarks.
